Diana Spencer signed a labor contract two years before to her marriage to the then-Prince of Wales, and it is anticipated that the contract will bring thousands of dollars at auction.

Though it is not entirely accurate, Diana finalized the written contract with Solve Your Problem Ltd., an employment agency that hired nannies for celebrities and the wealthy, in May 1979. She gave her birthdate as July 1, 1960, exactly one year before her actual birth, when she was just 17 years old.

A press statement issued to CNN by the English auction house Auctioneum states that Mary Cook, a former Portuguese countess who had relocated to London following her divorce from her husband, founded Solve Your Problem Ltd. as a recruitment agency.

The auctioneer described the company as "a high-class establishment, vetting staff for royal palaces and for mansions of the rich and famous situated in London." The contract was subsequently given to the business's current owners, who are now selling it, but Cook preserved it as a memento.

It is believed that the paper, which might fetch up to $10,000 at auction, represents the late princess's first official employment contract. She had previously provided unpaid child care for friends and relatives, two of whom are named as referees in the application.
